Big crowd expected for Stephens City's egg hunt Saturday, March 23
Egg hunts scheduled for 1, 1:30, 2, 2:30 PM. Enjoy crafts, music, Easter Bunny, Sparky, the Fire Dog, Balloon Man, and Lolo the Clown.
The Egg Hunt is being sponsored by Stephens City United Methodist Church (SCUMC) with the Town of Stephens City providing the use of Newtown Commons. “It is estimated approximately 1,200 folks attended the event in 2023, so the anticipation is an even larger event this year, weather permitting. The support of the entire church is necessary to bring this event to fruition,” said SCUMC former Missions Chair Cathy Barley. Jennifer Hall, current Missions Chair, is teaming with Barley and will assume management of the event in 2025.
SCUMC Pastor Bertina Westley, who will attend the egg hunt, has invited the entire community to visit the event. “The Newtown Commons is located right in the middle of town, and it allows the residents of Stephens City to conveniently walk with their families to the event and enjoy the festivities,” said Pastor Westley.
The Newtown Commons parking lot holds approximately 120 vehicles, so please try to arrive early to ensure a parking space.
