Meet A Future Leader In Winchester: Ashley Truban
Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Winchester is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Ashley Truban, who are making a positive impact in and around Winchester.
Ashley is a Winchester native and John Handley High School graduate who has been recognized for her academic achievements, athletic talent and community impact. In 2023, she was awarded the Dunkin’ DMV Regional Scholarship, which celebrates students with outstanding academic performance and leadership skills. She also received the Joanne Cherefko Honorary Scholarship, an accolade highlighting her dedication to learning and ambition to make a difference.
These honors have supported Ashley’s pursuit of a law degree at the prestigious University of Oxford, where she is focused on international law. Her passion for advocacy began in high school through an internship at a family law firm, assisting domestic violence victims. These formative experiences shaped her aspirations to create meaningful change.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Ashley was a celebrated athlete on her high school’s golf team, where she demonstrated resilience and team spirit, contributing to memorable victories. She also earned recognition at Mountain Vista Governor's School Senior Night as a standout among her peers.
Fueled by a strong work ethic and a commitment to social justice, Ashley exemplifies the qualities of a leader determined to leave a positive mark on the world.
