Saving Grace: A Guide to Financial Freedom
The Guide to Financial Well-Being is a six-session program based on Wesleyan values and registration is free. All are welcome to attend.

Starting on Thursday, October 10, 2024, Stephens City United Methodist Church will be offering a study on financial health. The study “Saving Grace: A Guide to Financial Well-Being,” is a six-session program based on Wesleyan values that will help you learn the tools needed to address the topics of saving, earning, and giving. The study will be led by Mr. John Clawson. All are welcome to attend.

John Clawson is a Certified Financial Planner TM, Investment Advisor, and Registered Broker Representative with seventeen years of professional experience in personal financial management and investments. He holds the Federal Series 7 General Securities license and the Federal Series 31 Futures and Managed Funds license. John Successfully completed the Federal Securities Industry Essentials Examination (SIE). John also holds the Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law Examination license for VA. The additional professional accreditation of Certified Financial Planner TM that John holds qualify him to act as a Fiduciary representative for financial planning.

John recently sold his own financial planning and investment firm and retired. He is a veteran of the USAF (1972-1975). He holds the degrees of Associate of Arts from SUNY Albany, NY, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, and a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University, Washington D.C.
Prior to becoming a registered securities representative and financial planner, John had a professional agricultural career of 27 years with the DuPont Company. John and Diane live in the Stephens City, VA area and have attended Stephens City UMC, where they are members since 1996.
