10-Month-Old Baby Gets Severe Burns In Dale City Child Neglect Case

Prince William County Police have charged a daycare worker for a baby being burned by hot water while she was caring for other children.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A daycare worker was charged in relation to a 10-month-old baby receiving severe burns in Dale City, according to Prince William County Police.

Faustina Hawah Seidu, 51, of Woodbridge, turned herself in to police on Tuesday and was charged with felony child neglect. The charge stems from a case at the Orchard Mills Apartments in the 3200 block of Blazer Loop in Dale City on June 27.

According to police, an investigation found hot water had spilled on a 10-month-old baby. Police say the baby was temporarily unsupervised as the worker was caring for multiple children. The baby was taken to the hospital and treated for severe burns.

Prince William County Police

Another notable incident in the latest Prince William County Police report was an attempted robbery of an 80-year-old man. Around 9:35 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1900 block of Daniel Stuart Square in Woodbridge. Police say the 80-year-old man, was getting out of his vehicle when an unknown man ran into him, knocked him down and took his bag. The victim ran to a nearby store to contact police while the suspect fled the area. Police found the victim's bag nearby and determined no property was missing.

There was no clear description of the suspect.
