2 Stabbings Leave Victims With Injuries In Woodbridge: Police Report

Prince William County Police responded to a stabbing, abduction and other incidents in the Woodbridge area in the last few days.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County Police are investigating several stabbings in the Woodbridge area over the last few days among other weekend incidents.

The first stabbing was reported around 8:01 p.m. last Friday in the 2500 block of the Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge. Police say a 29-year-old man was in a verbal argument that escalated with three other men. The three suspects struck the victim multiple times, leading the victim to walk away. However, one suspect followed and stabbed him. Police were notified when the victim went to a nearby business. The victim went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect in the stabbing was described as a Black man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black shoes with a teardrop tattoo under his left eye.

The other stabbing happened around 5:05 a.m. Monday in the 14500 block of Richmond Highway. According to police, a 34-year-old man was stabbed and struck during an altercation. An employee of a nearby business located the victim and contacted police. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A police search with a K9 unit did not locate the suspect. On Tuesday, detectived identified the suspect as Makahyla Lynn Mutz, 25, of no fixed address. The suspect was described as a Black woman around 6 foot and 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Attempted Malicious Wounding: On September 6 at 9:54PM, officers responded to a
residence located in the 600 block of Belmont Bay Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate
an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 45-year-old woman, encountered a
neighbor, identified as the accused, with a knife in her hand. At one point, the accused
walked towards the victim before throwing the knife at the victim. The victim was not struck
and took possession of the knife before contacting the police. No injuries were reported.
Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Alexandra PAUL, was arrested.

Strong-Arm Robbery: On September 7 at 7:26PM, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 2631 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed a man, later identified as the accused, took alcohol from the cooler before attempting to leave the business. When an employee confronted the accused, a brief struggle ensued. The accused struck the employee multiple times before the parties separated and the accused left with the unpaid items. Minor injuries were reported. Later that evening, the accused was located and detained without incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Sameer Mohamed Elyas, was arrested.

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling: On September 7 at 3:51PM, officers responded to the 17500 block of Victoria Falls Dr. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed while in the 17500 block of Batestown Rd., two men, later identified as the accused, fired multiple rounds which struck three separate residences on Victoria Falls Dr. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Following the investigation, both accused, identified as Daniel Antonio Colato and Abdelkarim Q. Abuelhaija, were arrested.

Abduction: On September 8 at 8:53PM, officers responded to the 13200 block of Hill Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an abduction. The investigation revealed the victim, a 19-year-old woman, and a female acquaintance were driving on Hill Ct. when they were followed by a vehicle driven by a male acquaintance, later identified as the accused. At one point, the vehicles stopped, and the accused grabbed the victim and forced her into his vehicle. The female acquaintance notified the victim’s family who contacted the police. While investigating the incident, the victim returned to her residence with a family member. Further investigation revealed the accused drove the victim to a nearby parking lot before dropping her off at a family member’s residence. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Marco Tulio Hernandez. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Wanted suspect, via Prince William County Police

Armed Robbery: On September 8 at 8:41PM, officers responded to the Tobacco King located at 3930 Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed two masked men entered the business where one of the suspects went behind the service counter and took items from the shelves. When an employee attempted to intervene, the second suspect brandished a firearm. Both suspects left the store with the unpaid items before getting into a nearby vehicle being driven by a third unknown individual. There were no shots fired and no injuries reported.
