Murder-Suicide Victim In Dumfries Identified, Investigation Continues

Prince William County Police continue to investigate the murder-suicide, which was believed to be domestic related.

DUMFRIES, VA — The two people killed in an August murder-suicide in Dumfries have been identified as Prince William County Police continue to investigate.

Davaughn Jamaal Henderson, 33 and Ashleigh Kaylynn Cash, 30, of Dumfries, died on the Aug. 7 incident in the 1900 block of Fort Monroe Court. Police believe the two were reportedly involved in a relationship and had an altercation. When the altercation escalated, police say Henderson shot Cash before shooting himself.

An acquaintance had found Henderson and Cash dead when visiting the home and contacted police. Police recovered a gun from the scene.

Detectives believe the murder-suicide was domestic related and presents no threat to the public.
