
Adults who have not completed high school and are interested in obtaining a General Educational Development (GED) Certificate can take an official GED Practice Test free of charge on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Prince William County Public Schools Adult Learning Center, 14800 Joplin Road, Manassas, VA 20112. Starting times are between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. This test takes approximately four hours to complete and helps individuals determine their readiness to take the GED Test.
Results and guidance will be provided upon completion of the Official Practice Test. Participants whose score indicates readiness to pass the GED Test will qualify for free GED Testing which is a savings of $58. Those who qualify will be required to present a valid driver’s license, passport, military ID, or other government issued photo ID showing name, address, date of birth, and signature in order to register for the GED Test.
There will also be an opportunity to register for GED preparation classes for those who do not qualify for free GED Testing. A class tuition fee of $150, payable in cash or by money order, is due at the time of class registration.
