Beef Recall Expanded In WA Over Salmonella
JBS Tolleson Inc. has expanded its beef recall. The meat is linked to a salmonella outbreak in which 250 people fell ill.

More than 12 million pounds of beef have been recalled due to concerns of Salmonella, federal officials announced Tuesday. The JBS Tolleson beef was shipped to retail stores and institutions across the country.
The Dec. 4 announcement from the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service is reportedly an expansion of the Oct. 4 recall for the same issue. The update now includes an additional 5 million pounds of raw beef products, USDA officials said.
The products were reportedly produced and packaged between July 26 and Sept. 7. Food Safety and Inspection Service officials are concerned some consumers may have some of the potentially tainted beef in their freezers and advise anyone with this beef to throw it away or return it to the store where it was bought.
