30-Hour 520 Bridge Closure Begins Saturday Night
Drivers will not have access to the SR 520 floating bridge between Saturday night and Monday morning.

BELLEVUE, WA — Drivers will need to find alternate routes across Lake Washington for part of the weekend as contractors continue work on the future Montlake lid.
Crews will close off both directions of State Route 520 between Montlake Boulevard in Seattle and 92nd Avenue Northeast in Clyde Hill from 11 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.
The latest closure will allow contractors time to pour concrete for new eastbound lanes between Montlake and the floating bridge, along with installing more than a dozen concrete girders over the freeway. The large beams will serve as the foundation for the future 3-acre lid, part of a $455 million improvement project.
