Organizations and artists have until Sept. 20 to submit letters of intent for grant funding from the city next year

BELLEVUE, WA — The application window is open for organizations and artists seeking grants to help create works of art, host events, and offer cultural and educational programs in 2022, funded by the city of Bellevue. The city's Arts and Culture program offer several types of grants for individuals and nonprofits, including:
- The Eastside Arts Partnerships portion of the program offers annual operating support to nonprofit organizations to support high-quality arts, cultural and heritage programs in Bellevue.
- The Special Projects grants provide one-time project support to artists and groups for special projects that fill in cultural gaps and inspire new forms of creative participation, particularly for under-served groups.
- Through the Power Up grants, the City of Bellevue aims to support capacity-building for Eastside Arts Partner organizations, allowing them to reach the next level of organizational development.
The first step in securing funding is submitting a letter of intent, which is due by Sept. 20. Completed application packets are due Oct. 11. Applications undergo reviews by the Bellevue Arts Commission, and final approvals come in coordination with the Bellevue City Council. Everyone who applies can expect to hear a decision by December, officials said.
More information on Bellevue's arts grants is available on the city's website, and prospective applicants can send questions via e-mail or call 425-452-4064.
