Detectives arrested an Issaquah man after two victims reported inappropriate behavior, police said Wednesday.
BELLEVUE, WA — Bellevue detectives arrested a Bellevue cheerleading coach Tuesday afternoon after two victims said he touched them inappropriately during private outings. In a news release Wednesday, police identified the suspect as a 50-year-old Issaquah man and owner of Action Athletics in southeast Bellevue.
Police said the victims came forward Monday evening and detectives assigned to the special assault unit immediately began an investigation. After conducting interviews and collecting evidence, detectives arrested the man Tuesday on suspicion of third-degree child molestation. Police said the investigation remains open and detectives anticipate seeking additional charges.
Investigators said the man is a long-time owner of the gym and suspect there could be other victims that have yet to come forward. Anyone who may have been victimized or has information that could assist the investigation can contact the police department's tip line by calling 425-452-7853 or by sending an e-mail.
