Bellevue College Student Murdered In Seattle
Trevon McKoy, AKA JuiceTheGod, was killed early Sunday morning of a gunshot wound to the head.
BELLEVUE, WA - Trevon McKoy, a Bellevue College business major and luminary in the Seattle-area rap scene, has been identified as the man murdered early Sunday morning near Key Arena. The 21-year-old, known as JuiceTheGod, died of a single gunshot wound to the head, according to the King County Medical Examiner's Office.
Seattle police were called to the intersection of 1st Avenue North and Republican Street, about half a block north of Key Arena, around 2 a.m. Sunday on a report of a shooting. They found McKoy at the scene, dead of a single gunshot wound.
McKoy was shot after performing at the Vera Project, an all-ages venue located at the Seattle Center.

Seattle Weekly profiled McKoy last summer. At the beginning of the story, McKoy talks about wanting to be a role model for his peers.
"My uncle’s doing life. My dad just got out of prison. I met my dad first when I was 15. All my male figures that I knew got took from me. I was raised in the streets. In West Seattle. That’s all I know," he told reporter M. Anthony Davis.

McKoy was enrolled at Bellevue College studying business. He was trying to transfer to Centralia College to play basketball.
"It hurts me that I’m even here today because he should be in class today, making music tomorrow and being with his family on Friday," McKoy's aunt Michelle Carter told Q13 this week.
