Bellevue Forecast: Wet Weather Lasts Through The Weekend

Classic December weather is on tap for Washington, with cycles of rain, wind and mountain snow stretching as far as the forecast can see.

BELLEVUE, WA — Over the next few days, several weather systems will move across Western Washington, packed with wind gusts, heavy rain and plenty of mountain snow, according to the latest forecasts.

The National Weather expects winds to kick up Wednesday afternoon, lasting into early Thursday, and strongest along the coast, across the San Juan Islands, Admiralty Inlet and western Whatcom and Skagit counties.

Gusts around Seattle, Tacoma and Everett should max out between 20 and 25 mph, forecasters said.

Rain will remain in the cards for the foreseeable future in most lowland areas, with the heaviest precipitation likely after Friday. A pair of weekend systems are expected to be the wettest, as heavier rain and higher snow levels lead to river levels rising. Forecasters said the Skokomish River is most likely to reach minor flood stage by the end of the week.

Temperatures look to stay fairly uniform through the weekend, with afternoon temperatures in the high 40s and low 50s and overnight lows sticking in the 40s across the lowlands.
