Bellevue Philharmonic Musicians Reunite For New Orchestra
Musicians from the Bellevue Philharmonic, including their conductor Michael Miropolsky, are reuniting for a new musical group, called the Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra.

Musicians with the Bellevue Philharmonic, which gave its last performance at the 2011 Bellevue Family 4th, are banding back together under a new name: the Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra, the group announced.
The new orchestra includes Bellevue Philharmonic's conductor Michael Miropolsky. According to an announcement by the Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra.
According to an email sent to Bellevue Philharmonic supporters this week, the group has secured a grant from arts foundation 4Culture for a debut concert in early 2014, but still needs donations of time and money to make that happen.
According to the group's website, the day-to-day operations are run and governed by the musicians who are part of the new orchestra, with the help of community volunteers.
The new orchestra plans to hold a fundraiser with live chamber music by members of the Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra at Temple B'nai Torah on Sept. 29.
The Bellevue Philharmonic, which operated for 43 years, cited financial difficulties as the reason for closing in 2011, including a shrinking subscriber and grants base and debts incurred in recent years.
