SEATTLE — State Route 520 will be closed in both directions over Lake Washington this weekend, as crews work around the clock to remove the old Montlake Boulevard overpass. The closure begins Friday night and will be in place until early Monday.

Initially, WSDOT also planned to close the Montlake Bridge this weekend, but that part of the work was postponed due to the weather.
