Here's How To Find Which Bellevue Streets Have Been Plowed
With the snowy season well underway, Bellevue this week unveiled a live map for neighbors to check which streets the city has plowed.

BELLEVUE, WA — Bellevue residents now have a quick and easy way to check the status of roads across the city during snow events. With more lowland snow potentially arriving late in the week, the city on Wednesday launched the beta version of a winter response map, designed to provide near-live data on snowplow activity based on GPS data from Bellevue's 15 plows, sanders, and de-icers.
The recent, early-season snowfall provided the city with the perfect opportunity to test things out.
"During or right after a snowstorm, people considering going out on the roads can consult the map and see when an arterial street was most recently serviced," city officials wrote Wednesday. "Crews had a chance to do a small-scale test run of the technology in our recent snow and ice event last week. The map is only activated when a widespread snow or ice event occurs."

The city said the map is still being tested and refined, and the beta version populates data for primary and secondary arterials. Updated versions of the map will include coverage for all routes the plows service, according to Bellevue's snow response priorities.
Even roads that have been recently serviced may still have residual snow, ice or slush, and officials ask drivers still use caution and drive for the conditions when they leave the house.
