Japan Fair Returns to Bellevue

Bellevue, WA - June 29 and 30, 2024, Japan Fair, the annual celebration of Japanese culture, is set to return to the Meydenbauer Center. This free event is open to the public and aims to provide an immersive experience of Japanese arts and entertainment.

Attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with food, performances, workshops, and more. The event will feature traditional and modern Japanese arts and culture, offering visitors the opportunity to explore and appreciate various aspects of Japan.

Event Highlights:

• Booths: Explore 85 booths hosted by a diverse range of organizations and companies, featuring products, goods and information about Japanese culture, arts, and crafts.
• Cuisine: Prepared and served by the Meydenbauer Center. Indulge in a diverse array of Japanese cuisine including chicken katsu curry, Tokyo dog, edamame, takoyaki, gyu-don, yakisoba, and much more,
• Performances: Enjoy a variety of performances on the main stage including taiko drumming, martial arts demonstrations, cosplay contests, chorus performances, and kimono shows.
• Kids Corner: Families with kids can enjoy activities including calligraphy, Origami, and Japanese carnival games.
• Raffle Prizes: Enter to win exciting prizes including a pair of round-trip tickets from Seattle to Haneda (Tokyo) courtesy of All Nippn Airlines, as well as round-trip tickets from the US to Europe provided by Delta Air Lines. Other prizes include Seattle Symphony concert tickets, premium wine baskets, restaurant gift cards, and Japanese-related goods.
• Workshops: Participate in workshops to learn about traditional arts and craftsmanship, haiku writing, Japanese travel, and more.
