BELLEVUE, WA — A 63-year-old man was hospitalized with critical injuries early Sunday after he was randomly attacked at the Bellevue Transit Center, according to police. In a news release, police said a 25-year-old man assaulted the victim just after midnight Sunday, and medics rushed the victim to the hospital as officers searched for the accused attacker.
Police located their suspect two hours later, just a few blocks from the transit center, and booked him into jail on suspicion of assault. Detectives said a preliminary investigation identified no clear motive for the attack. The suspect was expected in court for a first appearance Monday afternoon.
