BELLEVUE, WA — A driver racing along Interstate 90 caused a crash involving several other vehicles Friday afternoon, according to Washington State Patrol. Troopers said at least seven cars and a semi-truck crashed just west of Interstate 405 in Bellevue, prompting a full eastbound closure just before 4:30 p.m.

One car went over an embankment and was "partially submerged." Fortunately, troopers said everyone made it out of their vehicles and there were no reports of injuries.

Trooper Rick Johnson said the driver who was racing went to take the Bellevue Way exit, changed their mind, then swerved back onto I-90, hitting a barrier and the other vehicles. Johnson said the driver was not impaired but was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving.
