No Injuries After Shots Reported In Lakemont: Bellevue Police

Westbound lanes of Interstate 90 were briefly blocked Tuesday after reports of gunshots in the Lakemont area, police said.

BELLEVUE, WA — Reports of gunshots drew a large police response to Bellevue's Lakemont neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, but police officials said no one appeared to be injured. Officers closed off the westbound lanes of Interstate 90, near 148th Avenue, for a "high-risk stop" around 3 p.m.

In an update shared just a few minutes later, police said two suspects were in custody. Within 10 minutes, officials said the interstate had fully reopened, but an elevated police presence remained.

The police department said the initial call concerned shots fired along the 5400 block of Village Park Drive Southeast, and a full investigation was underway.
