North Bellevue Community Center, Indoor Skate Park Reopening
More indoor recreational options are returning to Bellevue under Phase 3 guidelines, beginning with the skate park and community center.
BELLEVUE, WA — Two community staples are reopening to visitors in Bellevue this month, operating under the third phase of the Healthy Washington plan. First up is the indoor skate park on Bel-Red Road, slated to reopen Thursday afternoon, followed by the North Bellevue Community Center, scheduled to reopen Monday morning.
Initially, the skate park will be open for one 90-minute session on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Visitors will need to preregister for a spot, and can do so online using the keyword "skate." Open skate sessions will be limited to 15 people.
Skaters will need to wear a mask and keep at least 6 feet of distance from those who do not live in their immediate household. Younger skaters can be accompanied by one spectator. Helmets are required and other safety gear is recommended, but rentals are unavailable for the time being. Skate gear is available for purchase at the pro shop.
