Popular Half-Marathon Moves To The Eastside For 2022
The Rock 'n' Roll Running Series will come to Bellevue next September, attracting runners from all over the region.

BELLEVUE, WA — One of Western Washington's most scenic running events will come to Bellevue in 2022, and participants will help raise funds for the St. Judge Children's Research Hospital, city officials announced Monday.
The 2022 St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Running Series will include a half-marathon, 5K and children's course early next September.
"I am thrilled the Rock 'n' Roll Series is coming to Bellevue," Bellevue Mayor Lynne Robinson said. "The opportunity to host this iconic event is an honor for the city, made even more significant by having St. Judge as a charity partner. We look forward to participating in and supporting this international gathering and celebration of health as we showcase our community."

Organizers are still hammering out the specific routes through the "city in a park," but runners can expect live music and a scenic backdrop will play a big role along the course. Bellevue's iteration of the race series will mark the Rock 'n' Roll Series' return to Puget Sound for the first time in three years. In previous years, the race has taken place in Seattle.
Bellevue's Downtown Park will host the main event and the course will take advantage of the stunning nearby views around Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish, officials said.
