A Relatively Dry Weekend For Puget Sound: Forecast

Temperatures will be in the (boring) 40s, but at least it won't rain much.

BELLEVUE, WA - It's not necessarily going to be a nice weekend in Puget Sound, but it will be pretty dry, according to the latest National Weather Service forecasts.

But that doesn't mean you can let your guard down. The mountain passes will be snowy pretty much all weekend - something to keep in mind for travelers heading to or coming back from Eastern Washington.

Puget Sound lowlands

Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. South wind 7 to 11 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 49. South wind 7 to 9 mph.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. South southeast wind 5 to 7 mph.

Sunday: A slight chance of showers before 4pm, then a slight chance of rain after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 51. South southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: Rain likely, mainly after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 44. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Snoqualmie Pass

Friday Night: Snow, mainly before 4am. Low around 28. West wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of snow before 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 35. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Calm wind.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. East wind 3 to 5 mph.

Sunday Night: Rain likely, mainly after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 30. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
