3 Alarm Fire Tears Through Edgewood Apartment Complex
10 units were damaged and one resident put in the hospital after an apartment complex fire Tuesday morning.

EDGEWOOD, WA β One person is injured, and ten apartments have been heavily damaged after a 3 alarm fire in Edgewood Tuesday morning.
East Pierce Fire says the incident began sometime around 7 a.m. That's when their crews were dispatched to reports of a fire in the 4800 block of 110th Ave Ct E.
Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke pouring from several units of the Overlook Terrace Apartments, called for backup and upgraded the fire to a 3rd alarm response. All told, 18 units from multiple nearby fire agencies were called in to help contain the blaze.

As of East Pierce Fire's last update around 8:30 a.m., at least ten units were damaged and one person hospitalized with injuries related to the fire. The severity of those injuries is unknown.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
