8 People Injured In Sumner Crash: East Pierce Fire
At least eight people were hurt when a box truck T-boned a semi in Sumner just before 6:30 a.m. Friday.

SUMNER, WA - At least eight people sustained minor injuries when a box truck T-boned a semi in Sumner early Friday morning. The crash reportedly reduced lanes at the intersection of East Main and Traffic avenues and closed about one block of Thompson Street.
East Pierce Fire & Rescue first reported the crash on Twitter just before 6:30 a.m. Jan. 25.
Around 7:30 a.m. the city of Sumner reported a tow truck was on scene, but it still advised commuters to find alternate routes around the crash area.

Traffic Avenue was completely reopened around 8 a.m., Sumner officials said, and Thompson Street reopened at 11:15 a.m.
