Bonney Lake City Staff Go Fu Manchu for “Movember”
Men on the Bonney Lake city staff have shaved off their facial hair through the month of November to bring awareness to prostate cancer and men's health issues.
If you walk into the Bonney Lake city staff offices this month, you might notice something… bushy.
Throughout the month, 15 men on city staff have dedicated themselves to “Movember” and said farewell to their comfortably typical facial hair choices for the wild world of mustaches, to raise awareness for prostate cancer and men’s health issues.
Community Development Director John Vodopich was the first to shave off his facial hair yesterday and signed up 15 men and 12 women to help the cause.

Vodopich said “Movember” activities will include a craft session for the “follicly challenged,” where staff members can make their own mustaches and learn more about men’s health. Staff took before and after photos of yesterday’s big shave and will follow up with a photo shoot at the end of the month to show off their ‘staches.
