BONNEY LAKE, WA — The Bonney Lake Food Bank is an invaluable resource during a normal year, but has been working especially hard to keep locals fed the last two years, during the turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But thanks to hard work and recent successes, the food bank has an opportunity to secure a $50,000 grant and help even more people in need. The catch is: they need the community's help to do it.

As the Bonney Lake Food Bank explains, Vice President Teri Hochstein is a finalist to win the BECU People Helping People Grant.

The Bonney Lake Food Bank is one of 18 organizations up to win the grant, but the winner is selected through a popular vote: which is why the food bank is urging supporters to cast their vote before the poll closes Nov. 14, and help them secure funding to help even more East Pierce County residents.
