Bonney Lake Homeowner Calls 911 To Report Shooting Intruder

BONNEY LAKE, WA — One man has been hospitalized after a potential home invasion Tuesday morning in Bonney Lake.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, 911 dispatchers received a call early Tuesday from a homeowner, who told them he had shot an intruder inside his home in the 3200 block of 214th Ave E.

Once there, first responders say they found a man with a gunshot would at the home, who was then transported to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment.

However, despite the caller characterizing the incident as a home invasion, deputies say they are not yet fully sure what exactly happened leading up to the shooting, and have not placed the shooting victim under arrest.
