Bonney Lake-Sumner Drill Team Works It Out at UDA Dance Camp

Just yesterday, 29 team members of the Bonney Lake-Sumner Drill Team and Coach Jill McKinley left for UDA Dance Camp at the University of Puget Sound.

The team will be staying in dorms for three nights while they spend four days of rigorous training. Each team member has the opportunity to learn several routines that they will perform on the last day of camp. Returning members will also be critiqued and judged on a home routine. Seniors and/or established team members can also learn a routine for the “All American” contest.

If chosen they will have the opportunity to travel with the “All American Team” which consist of dancers all over the United States. This camp kicks off the 2011-2012 season where the team gets the chance to bond as a cohesive unit and learn skills they can use throughout the year.
