Bonney Lake Unveils New Eastown Sign
The 'Welcome to Bonney Lake' sign now greets drivers from the east as they enter city limits.
Drivers who come in to Bonney Lake from Buckley on SR 410 now have a new sign welcoming them to town.
The sign is a step toward the future development of Eastown, which city planners hope will begin soon.
The city council was on hand to unveil the new sign on May 15, 2012 before the council workshop.

"It's a great way to enter Bonney Lake, from the other side of the city," said Mayor Neil Johnson.
The $20,000 welcome sign was originally designed for Ascent Park, which greets drivers coming up the hill from Sumner. It was finally considered too small for design plans at Ascent Park and has been shelved since its design in 2006 until road development completed on the other side of town.
