Does the weather make you want to curl up with a good book? Stumped on what to read? is a local group that meets Thursdays at the Bonney Lake Library. They've just published their winter reading list -- check out these titles and drop in at any of their discussions on the dates listed below. Books on Tapps is hosted by Friends of the Bonney Lake Library.
Oct. 27 – Halloween: An American Holiday, an American History by Lesley Pratt Bannatyne This fascinating history will appeal widely to anyone who wonders about the origins of witches, trick-or-treating and jack-o-lanterns. Â
Dec. 1 – Cooked: From the Streets to the Stove, From Cocaine to Foie Gras by Jeff Henderson. While in federal prison for dealing drugs, Henderson became fascinated with cooking. After his release, he pursued a culinary career and reached the top of the profession as an executive chef. Â

Feb. 23 – State by State: a Panoramic Portrait of America edited by Matt Weiland and Sean Wilsey Without leaving home or spending a cent on gas, readers of this book can enjoy a scenic view of the entire U.S. that is as familiar as it is disorienting. Â
