Calling All Chili Masters: Show off Your Sauce at Bonney Lake Cookoff

Chili cooks and hot dog eaters are wanted at this weekend's Hot August Nite Fundraiser, benefiting the Bonney Lake Food Bank.

Do you want to show off Grandma’s famous chili recipe? Ready to debut that super-secret blend of sweet and spicy you’ve been perfecting all summer? This weekend’s fundraiser chili cookoff in Bonney Lake is a golden opportunity to show off your simmer sauce.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Bonney Lake’s Allan Yorke Park will be filled with hot rods, Harleys and of course, chili, at the third annual ; all proceeds will go to the

If you’re not a cook but love to eat, become a judge and try your neighbor’s chili for just $1 a bowl. Participants are still needed in the hot dog eating contest, too. There will be a concession stand with espresso and raffle drawings. All proceeds support the food bank and volunteers will be on hand to collect non-perishable food items and hygiene products.
