Car Crashes Into Bonney Lake Home

A man crashed his car into a Bonney Lake home on 214th Ave. E. early Friday morning.

A woman and her two children escaped serious injury when a car collided into the side of their home on the 12200 block of 214th Ave. E. on Friday morning, according to East Pierce Fire and Rescue.

Emergency crews responded to the collision close to 2 a.m. Friday, but the driver had fled on foot. KOMO 4 reports that he apparently hung around the home for a while before police arrived and casually chatted with the woman. He was later apprehended by Bonney Lake Police and Pierce County Sheriff Deputies.

The impact demolished the walls of two bedrooms in the home -- a young girl was in one room and her mom in the other. The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but the little girl is OK. The driver was also treated for minor injuries. It appears he was intoxicated.
