Exodus Housing Cancels Charity Golf Fundraiser

We just saw this update on the Lake Tapps Charity Golf Tournament Facebook event page from Liz Johnson at :

"Sorry to have to do this but we have to cancel the Lake Tapps Charity Golf Tournament for 2012. I've cut and pasted the message from Joe O'Neil, the director. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like a refund instead of sponsoring another one of their events or leaving it as a donation. I can help expedite that."

Here's the message from Joe O'Neil, director of :

"I regret to inform you that Exodus Housing Board of Directors has canceled this year’s Charity Golf Tournament, which was scheduled for July 27, 2012.

Our sponsors and golfers deserve nothing less than a well-organized and fun golf tournament, but due to recent staffing changes; we do not currently have the staffing expertise available to plan and execute the tournament. The long-term financial support of our donors and supports is a critical component in accomplishing our mission. On behalf of the families we serve, I respectfully request that you consider shifting your sponsorship and/or golf registration fees from the canceled golf tournament to our "" This fundraising event has people paying money to jump into Lake Tapps the last Saturday in October (Domestic Violence Awareness Month).

Of course if you prefer, we will swiftly refund you sponsorship and/or golf registration fee.
