Sumner Mayor Dave Enslow will contend with Nancy Dumas, a current city councilmember, in this year's race for mayor.
Dumas filed her bid Wednesday afternoon; Enslow filed his intention to re-run earlier this week. Candidate filing for the general election this November ends tomorrow afternoon.
"I think no one should run unopposed. Really, people need a choice," Dumas told Patch. "I also believe strongly in transparency of government, and that Sumner is in a different place than it was 10 or 15 years ago ... It's always good to change up management."
