The city has two positions ready to fill, for a seasonal laborer and interior painter.

The seasonal laborer position would last no more than 5 months during the spring and summer months. That employee reports to the Public Works Department and could work in the mechanic shop or with city water, sewer, streets, stormwater or parks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and experience with a variety of tools and equipment.

The salary range is $10 to $13 an hour. Submit your application before Thurs., April 19 to be sure you're in the first round of considerations.

The temporary interior painter position is expected to last only 2 to 3 months and qualifications include professional interior painting experience. The salary range for that job is $17 to $22 per hour. The application deadline is May 7.

The job would be to paint the interior offices of the Justice Center and East Pierce fire station.
