Congressman Heck's 'Congress At Your Company' Tour to Make Rounds Through Sumner

Congressman Denny Heck is meeting with local small business owners over the next two weeks as part of his “Congress At Your Company” tour.

Bellmont Cabinet Company – Monday, March 25^th at 2:30 PM. Sumner. Bellmont Cabinet Company, formerly operating under the name of Pacific Crest Industries, is a 25 year old family-owned Washington state cabinet manufacturer.

Fish Brewing Company – Monday, March 25^th at 4:15 PM. Olympia. Fish Brewing Company has been hand-crafting ales since 1993. Fish Brewing Co. was founded in Olympia by local investors.

Vigor Shipyards – Wednesday, March 27^th at 3:00 PM. Seattle. Vigor is one of three companies nationwide entrusted with multi-ship contracts to maintain U.S. Navy aircraft carriers. They also repair and modernize destroyers, frigates and more in their yards in Seattle and Everett.

SAFE Boats – Monday, April 1^st and 9:00 AM. Tacoma. Founded in 1997, SAFE Boats International (SAFE) designs and builds highly reliable and extremely durable vessels that help keep military, law enforcement and fire professionals safe as they carry out their duties, protect citizens and work to save lives.

Roundtable Discussion with Members of the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce – Wednesday, April 3^rd at 1:00 PM. Tacoma. Congressman Heck will discuss with members of the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce the state of the local economy and relevant federal issues.

FluxDrive – Wednesday, April 3^rd at 2:30 PM. Sumner. Founded in 2003, Flux Drive has focused its development effort on building an alternative to the electrical variable frequency drive (VFD). Specifically, the founders wanted to solve vibration and reduce the peripheral cost associated with the running and maintenance of adjustable speed drives that are used in the maritime environment today. The result of that effort is the Flux Drive soft-torque transfer technology.
