Driver Charged With Vehicular Assault After Hitting Man on SR 512
The 24-year-old Tacoma driver hit another Tacoma man who was changing a flat tire on Friday night. The incident occurred near eastbound State Route 512 in Puyallup.
A Tacoma driver was transported to Tacoma General Hospital Friday night after he was hit by a pickup truck, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident occurred around 7:23 p.m. on eastbound State Route 512, just east of 31st Avenue SW in Puyallup.
The 39-year-old man was fixing a flat tire on the right shoulder of the highway when the 24-year-old Tacoma driver struck him.

Officials said the man was driving under the influence and has been charged with vehicular assault.
