East Pierce Fire Gives 250+ Coats To Local Kids In Need
Every year, East Pierce Fire & Rescue organizes a Coats for Kids donation drive. Organizers say this years, was one of their best yet.

SUMNER, WA β East Pierce Fire & Rescue is celebrating after another successful community drive.
Each year, firefighters with the East Pierce Firefighters #IAFF Local 3520 host a Coats for Kids community jacket drive. This year, organizers say the drive was such a success they managed to wrangle some 250-plus coats for kids in need.

Thursday, organizers handed the donated coats to children at 10 East Pierce County schools. Organizers say they're proud to be able to help these kids stay warm during the cold winter seasonβ and just as proud to see the community step forward and help out.
