Rivers Flood Plan Open House in Sumner

You're invited to the Pierce County Rivers Flood Plan Open House

Tuesday, March 13, 2012, 6 - 8 pm

Sumner High School, 1707 Main St. 

• The meeting is "open house" format. Attend anytime between 6 - 8 pm.
• Project staff will be available to answer questions.
• A court reporter will be available at the meeting to record oral comments.

The Draft Flood Plan includes policies, programs and projects to reduce damage from major river flooding and channel migration and protect public safety and improve habitat.

• The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) evaluates the potential environmental impacts of the Draft Flood Plan.
• Comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on April 13, 2012.
• The Pierce County Council will consider the plan for adoption in 2012.
