THIS CAMPAIGN:
What is the primary reason you are running for this office? I want to work with residents of Bonney Lake to develop a clear vision of where our city is headed. I want safe streets and intersections that have the capacity to keep traffic flowing smoothly. I am concerned about quality parks, trails, and bicycle corridors. I feel we need to attract good jobs and profitable businesses. I want the changes in our business and Eastown to be done in such a way that our existing businesses can share in the prosperity. I will focus on the long-range health of our city and control expenses so our current standards are maintained and improved. I do not feel the small business needs are being heard, and their challenges being addressed. Small business is the heart of our growth and future.
What will be your top three priorities be if you get elected and why?
1. I want to continue to build upon the city’s partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce and address small business growth. Understanding their needs which includes their desires for proper signage and promoting their business but still controlling unsightly displays as in neighboring communities.
2. I am concerned about maintaining and expanding our parks, trails and ballfields for our youth. I will work on preservation and restoration of the Fennel Creek Watershed. Â I will work toward building a multi-use facility to support our performing arts and youth programs.
3. I will work on programs to attract businesses to Eastown in such a way that our existing businesses can share in the prosperity. I will also focus on the management of future expenses of our city so money is not wasted but controlled for long term health of our city.Â
What sets you apart from the other candidates and/or previous office holders? My professional experience as a retail manager, which has given me experience at managing people, budgets and proper growth into the future. Also my experience on the Mayor’s Advisory Committee and a commissioner on Bonney Lake’s  Design Commission.
How much money do you expect your campaign to spend on this election? None
