PHOTOS: Cubscout Group 531 Places Memorial Flags at Sumner City Cemetery

With respect and reverence, Sumner's VFW Post 3070 and the local Cubscout Group 531 placed flags on the graves of fallen soldiers in the Sumner Cemetery for Memorial Day.

Cubscout 531 continued the local tradition of placing flags on the graves of veterans at the Sumner Cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day on Thursday, May 24.

Some of the veteran graves date back to the Civil War. This year marks the 69th annual Sumner Memorial Day Ceremony. Join the community on Monday, May 30 at 10 a.m. for a special ceremony remembering veterans. As part of the ceremony,place a flower on the memorial as the names are read of Sumner veterans.
