Record Temperature Highs Expected This Weekend

Temperatures are expected to break records this weekend in what could be the hottest days on record yet.

Today's temperatures are expected to reach a hot 82 degrees in Bonney Lake and the warm weather is expected to continue and intensify. Saturday's high is expected to hit 89 degrees; Sunday will be sunny and hot with an anticipated high of 88 degrees.

The National Weather Service issued a warm-weather warning for Pierce County, cautioning swimmers against cold lake and river temperatures that could cause hypothermia.

Wear sunscreen and stay hydrated, whether swimming, the or the are on your agenda this weekend.

Enjoy it while it lasts -- temperatures are expected to drop back down to a comfortable 70 degrees on Monday.
