SHS Band Hosts Fundraiser Auction, Concert

Next year’s freshman are looking forward to starting band at , which is exciting for the program but daunting when facing uniform costs and travel fees. The band needs to purchase new marching uniforms, which can cost $400 each, said Carol Bucich, president of the Sumner Band Parents Association.

To make music classes more affordable for the students, the Sumner BPA coordinated , a special event filled with music, food and auctioning.

Middle school jazz bands from , andwill join the high school jazz bands from , and White River in this special performance.

The dinner begins at 4:30 p.m. and will be followed with an auction and concert, held in the Sumner High School gym. The dinner menu features prime rib, chicken romano and dessert; while guests had to RSVP, a limited amount of dinner tickets are still available at the door. Dinner tickets are $12.

If the silent auction strikes a chord in your heart, $5 gets you dessert and auction entrance.
