Stamp Collection Found In Stolen Vehicle: ATTF

A stolen car recovered in Auburn reportedly contained an expansive stamp collection dating back to the early 20th century.

AUBURN, WA - A box of stamps spanning the whole 20th century was recovered from a stolen vehicle in Auburn this past week, and now the Puget Sound Auto Theft Task Force (ATTF) is searching for the collection's rightful owner.

The owner of the vehicle in which the collection was found reportedly noticed the box while picking up his stolen car from the Auburn Valley tow yard. Filled with hundreds of stamps, some dating back to the 1920s and '30s, the collection's value is unknown, ATTF officials told Patch.

Perhaps unsurprisingly it's quite typical for stolen items to be recovered from stolen cars, officials said, noting the stolen items found within the stolen cars are often unconnected otherwise.
