Sumner City Council Approves New Zone 3 Parking on Alder Avenue

Alder Avenue between Park Ave. and Thompson St. has been reclassified as Zone 3 parking.

To avoid clogging residential streets with Sounder commuter parking, the Sumner City Council voted to create more three-hour parking in town.

Now, Alder Ave. between Park Ave. and Thompson St. has become Zone 3, which means non-permit holders can park there for up to three hours. Those who stay longer will be subject to ticketing. The new Zone 3 parking zone will go into effect

The council denied the two other RPZ applications – one fore Chestnut Street between Christina Drive and Mountain Circle, and the other for State Street between Traffic Ave. and Hunt Ave., based on the staff recommendation for denial.
