Sumner Homicide Featured on Crime Stoppers "Cold Cases" Website
The 2000 slaying of Steven Frisbee is featured on the homepage of the Crime Stoppers' newly designed "cold cases" website.

Sometimes, a cold case just needs some new heat.
Crime Stoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County, a nonprofit organization that assists police departments in solving local crime, just revamped their website and added 36 unsolved cases to its docket.

Featured on the homepage right now is the 2000 murder mystery of Steven Frisbee, who was murdered in his home near Sumner on the 21600 block of Snag Island Dr.
After recieving a call regarding a suspicious car in the area, investigators came to Frisbee's house and found him lying inside his front door, murdered by a shotgun blow to the face.

Detectives believe the victim was shot through a small window in the front door. The suspect(s) kicked in the barricaded door to enter the victim's residence. Inside of the home, detectives found evidence of a large marijuana grow operation and it may be related to the motive of the murder.
