- The owner of Specialty Woods contacted police to report that he was missing two 6-foot logs from his yard valued at $3,500. He said the wood was used to make high-end guitars and weighed close to a 1,000 pounds each. It would have been impossible for someone to steal without an excavator. A few days later, police followed up a on lead with another wood company who purchased similar logs from an Issaquah man. He turned out to be a family friend of the owner of the Sumner company, with access to proper tools and the shipyard. Police tried to contact him but his phone was turned off, the case was forwarded to a detective for follow-up.
- An officer noticed a car stuck on the train tracks on West Valley Highway that run parallel with Valley Ave. E. The 25-year-old female driver had a man trying to help her move it. She said she was not familiar with the area and tried to make a U-turn when she got stuck on the tracks. The office smelled alcohol and found 3 cans of Four Loko in the car. There was alcohol all over the floor as well as on items in the drivers seat. The officer asked for her license and she handed the officer an alcohol-soaked passport because she couldnβt find her license. The woman admitted to drinking and was over double the legal limit. She was arrested for DUI.

- Police responded to a home on 68th St. Ct. E. for a report of a fight. The caller said it sounded as though someone had been thrown against the wall. Police spoke to the 17-year-old daughter of the man who lived there and she said that she came to visit her father when she found a 19-year-old girl who she had a restraining order against standing outside her bedroom. The two women fought and the daughter punched her in the face. She was bleeding everywhere and appeared to be drunk. She was arrested for violating the no-contact order, minor in possession and disorderly conduct. The man told police he let her into the residence through a ladder because she had helped him out in the past and he felt bad for her. He was arrested for furnishing liquor to minors.

- Police contacted the manager of the Whitworth Apartments on 1612 Valley Ave. for a report of a tenant yelling and damaging property. The apartment staircase was busted and several gauge marks were on the plywood under where the banister used to be. The suspect apparently gouged the banister with alcohol bottles and stabbed his door with a knife. The man wouldnβt come downstairs and talk to police β he accused them of stealing his stuff. Police had to forcibly take him into custody and noticed a number of hunting knives lying on his living room floor. He appeared to be under the influence of something other than alcohol. He wouldnβt cooperate and was tased. He then said police had to let him go because he was a US citizen and βwouldnβt hurt a single creature on earth.β He was charged with resisting arrest and malicious damage to property. Fire medics had to respond and give him a sedative to get him to settle down.
- A man reported that his truck window had been smashed in while he was golfing at Sumner Meadows. His work laptop that was hidden in the backseat of his car under some clothing had been stolen. It appeared that the burglar attempted to break in through a back window before smashing it completely.
