This Weekend: Get Organized With Sumner's Shred & Clean

Shred documents, donate old items and drop off your leftover prescriptions in Sumner this Saturday.

Celebrate spring, Earth Day, and the fact that your taxes are done. Get rid of the following items all in one place -- the old Red Apple parking lot in Sumner (on the corner of Maple and Alder.)

Volunteers will be in the parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and they will collect:

  • Sensitive documentsΒ to LeMay Mobile Shredding (limit three grocery bags per person, please)Β 
  • Left-over prescriptionsΒ Β to Sumner Police for safe disposal
  • Light bulbs and batteriesΒ to McLendon Hardware
  • Old cell phonesΒ to YWCA for violence victims
  • Energy efficiency rebates, light bulb recycling, and refrigerator pick-up scheduling from PSE (Please do not bring refrigerators to the Shred & Clean. PSE will schedule a pick-up with you.)
  • Clothes, household itemsΒ and electronics to Goodwill (be aware of Goodwill's donation requirements before you load up your car).
