VIEWFINDER: Pierce County/Metro Area Drill at West Pierce Fire

The drills - which are taking place at Station 21 in Lakewood - are meant to help firefighters improve their communications, efficiency, and operations during emergencies.

East Pierce firefighters posted the above photos on their Facebook page from a drill that's taking place today at West Pierce Fire & Rescue in Lakewood. Here's the skinny:

East Pierce Firefighters are currently participating in the Pierce County/Metro area drill. These drills allow us the opportunity to improve upon our communications, efficiency, and operations during large scale, and even small scale incidents. Companies from Tacoma, Graham, East Pierce, Joint Base Lewis-McChord and West Pierce Fire all participated.
